Ultraviolet Properties of the Spinless, One-Particle Yukawa Model

ثبت نشده
چکیده

We consider the one-particle sector of the spinless Yukawa model, which describes the interaction of a nucleon with a real field of scalar massive bosons (neutral mesons). The nucleon as well as the mesons have relativistic dispersion relations. In this model we study the dependence of the nucleon mass shell on the ultraviolet cut-off Λ. For any finite ultraviolet cut-off the nucleon one-particle states are constructed in a bounded region of the energy-momentum space. We identify the dependence of the ground state energy on Λ and the coupling constant. More importantly, we show that the model considered here becomes essentially trivial in the limit Λ → ∞ regardless of any (nucleon) mass and self-energy renormalization. Our results hold in the small coupling regime. Acknowledgments: D.-A.D. gratefully acknowledges financial support from the post-doc program of the DAAD. Presentation of the Soft-Core Double Yukawa Potential for Noble Gasses using in sillico

The understanding of the intermolecular pair potential is important for determining the physical andchemical properties of the matter. The new data for noble gasses was calculated with Soft-CoreDouble Yukawa Potential (SCDY). We studied the effect of the Soft- Core potential on the phasebehavior with Hartree-Fock-Dispersion (HFD) Potential. This model had a steep repulsionexponential term and d...

Two-particle truncation of Pauli–Villars-regulated Yukawa theory∗

Department of Physics, Southern Methodist University, Dallas, TX 75275 (Dated: September 4, 2002) Abstract We obtain analytic, nonperturbative, approximate solutions of Yukawa theory in the one-fermion sector using light-front quantization. The theory is regulated in the ultraviolet by the introduction of heavy Pauli–Villars scalar and fermion fields, each with negative norm. In order to obtain...

Form factors and correlation functions of an interacting spinless fermion model

Introducing the fermionic R-operator and solutions of the inverse scattering problem for local fermion operators, we derive a multiple integral representation for zerotemperature correlation functions of a one-dimensional interacting spinless fermion model. Correlation functions particularly considered are the one-particle Green’s function and the density-density correlation function both for a...

Transport of one-dimensional interacting fermions through a barrier.

We study the transport properties of one-dimensional (1D) interacting Fermions through a barrier by numerically calculating the Kohn charge stiffness constant and the relative Drude weight. We find that the transport properties of the 1D Hubbard model are quite different from those of the 1D spinless Fermion model. For example, the presence of the attractive interaction between electrons in the...

Nonperturbative Solution of Yukawa Theory and Gauge Theories∗

Recent progress in the nonperturbative solution of (3+1)-dimensional Yukawa theory and quantum electrodynamics (QED) and (1+1)-dimensional super Yang–Mills (SYM) theory will be summarized. The work on Yukawa theory has been extended to include two-boson contributions to the dressed fermion state and has inspired similar work on QED, where Feynman gauge has been found surprisingly convenient. In...
